With a bit more work to port there is also AudioAnchor for Android which might have some useful code or ideas, it seems to support content plugins to get podcasts or audiobook libraries. * Qt (4.7.x with PySide bindings)(optional) * GTK (2.x with python bindings)(optional) If the deps can be met it will be easy to compile(I just did it on Ubuntu-Mate 20.04) and add to the repos, not sure how to recommend it be added to the build queue though. On the N900 it is tied into the system's skip/back/pause for A2DP but not the main system play/pause commands for Pine I think there is one system as I will eventually like to be able to control book playback from a rented car stereo's skip/pause buttons AND from my smartwatch once that integration has been done. It would be nice if th Pinephone build was built to play AAC, OGG, m4b and other formats than just MP3 as the Maemo5(N900) build does. The skip buttons, and save on close are deal makers vs a music shuffle app. On my current phone, N900, there is Panucci(FOSS) which works pretty well has -60sec,-15sec, play/pause, +15sec, +60sec, and bookmark touch buttons as well as a progress bar that can be slid around or locked for fumble fingers, also saves position on app close you can load a playlist, single file, or play in order files in a directory. This is a must have for me too on a daily driver phone. From there, follow the detailed instructions that match the Linux operating system you use. from mutagen.mp3 import MP3, EasyMP3 from mutagen.mp4 import MP4Cover, MP4Tags import gpodder from gpodder import coverart logger logging.getLogger (name) workaround for can't addtags to MP4 when file has no tag MP4Tags.padding 0 gpodder. You would have to copy the data from ~/.config/gpodder into a folder below MyDocs and then make sure that both environment variables are picked up by both the Windows version and the N900 version and that they point to the same folders (somewhere below MyDocs).(08-06-2020, 04:56 PM)moto圆 Wrote: (snip)Īny suggestions for an audio player with skip-ahead/back capability? To install it, open up a terminal window by pressing Ctrl + Alt + T or Ctrl + Shift + T on the keyboard. You can run it straight from a source checkout, this is also how gPodder’s developers run it. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.Yes, it's possible using the environment variables GPODDER_HOME and GPODDER_DOWNLOAD_DIR. As gPodder is written in Python, there is no need to compile anything or to install it into system directories (you do not need root). I have not had the time to try this but I do wish to. Both instances share the downloaded podcasts and Metadata db. Close out of the app and when you disconnect, you run gpodder on the N900. When you plug the N900 into the PC.run gpodder on the PC from the N900.download what you like. You could not run both the N900 gpodder and the PC gpodder at the same time because I don't think the file system would mount. Configure it so it downloads podcasts to the same folder as the N900 Gpodder install, and configure it to use that same database for metadata as the N900 Install. 1) Open Gpodder 2) In the menu at the top of the app click on Subscriptions > Add Podcast via URL 3) A pop-up box will open, paste your private RSS feed in the box and click Add.
